Today’s handmade card has been created for the challenge at I Love Promarkers Challenge #587.

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Super Heroes.

You must use alcohol markers on your work to join in the fun, any brand is excepted.

For my card I have used two of their digital images called Think-O-Tron and Spider Stan.

Materials You Will Need:
2 x 8″ x 8″ white card base
White card
Black card
Promarker pens
Dr Digi’s House of Stamps – Think-O-Tron and Spider Stan
Dr Digi’s House of Stamps – Blam Backing Paper
Microsoft Word (or similar) – to create your sentiments
Glue or double-sided tape
Foam pads

Instructions:

Print and Prepare the Image
Print Think-O-Tron and Spider Stan digital stamps onto white card, ready for colouring.
Then print out two backing papers.

Score and fold both 8″ by 8″ card fronts to make a z fold card.
From one card, cut a strip measuring 6 cm high across the full width—this will be used as a lower band across the front.

Create Layer One:
Cut black card to 19.5 cm x 19.5 cm
Cut the first paper to 19 cm x 19 cm
Layer the patterned paper onto the black card, then adhere it to the inside panel of the card base.

Create Layer Two:
Cut black card to 19.5 cm x 9.5 cm
Cut the first paper to 19 cm x 9 cm
Layer them together and adhere to the front panel of the card base.

Create Layer Three:
Cut a piece of black card to 5.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the second paper to 5 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together.
Cut three pieces of black card to 5.5 cms by 9.5 cms.
Cut three pieces from the second paper to 5 cms by 9 cms.
Matt and layer together.
Attach all four sections (1 long, 3 small) to the 6 cm card strip
Fix this strip across the bottom of your card base, aligning it so that the shortest section attaches to the inside and the longest to the front panel, forming a Z shape.

Colour the Digital Stamp
Colour Think-O-Tron and Spider Stan using your Promarker pens. Below are the shades I used:

Spider Stan : Poppy, lipstick red, berry red, putty, champagne, azure, aegean.

Think-O-Tron : Warm grey 1, 2, 3, ice grey 3, 5, magenta, cerise, fuchsia pink, putty, arctic blue.

Cut around each image leaving a small white border.
Attach Spider Stan to the inside of the card base.
Attach Think-O-Tron to the front of the card base.
Use foam pads to give both images dimension.

Create Layer Four:
Use Microsoft Word (or your preferred text editor) to create a sentiment for your card.
Mount the sentiment on black card to create a border, then attach it to your card base.

Final Touches:
Finish by adding an insert inside the card base so you can write a personal message.
