Today’s handmade Tower card has been made using a digital download paper collection called Land Of The Dinosaurs from The Crafty Witches.
Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.
A4 White Card
The Crafty Witches – Land Of The Dinosaurs
Leaf Dies
Black Card
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads
Print off both of the topper sheets, two patterned papers, one plain paper, one insert sheet.
Card Base:
Cut a piece of white card measuring 15.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Cut a piece of white card measuring 5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Then cut two pieces of white card measuring 15.5 cms by 17 cms.
Along the 17 cms edge, score and fold the two pieces at 4 cms, 8 cms, 12 cms and 16 cms.
Layer one:
Cut six pieces from black card measuring 15 cms by 3.5 cms.
Cut six pieces from the first patterned paper measuring 14.5 cms by 3 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the two towers, leaving one side blank.
Layer two:
Attach the two towers to the edges of the 15.5 cms by 18.5 cms piece of white card.
Layer three:
Cut a piece of black card measuring 15 cms by 10 cms.
Cut a piece from the second patterned paper measuring 14.5 cms by 9 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach between the two towers.
Layer four:
Cut a piece of black card measuring 4.5 cms by 18 cms.
Cut a piece from the second patterned paper measuring 4 cms by 17.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the strip of white card.
Next attach to the card base at the bottom of the two towers.
Layer five:
Cut a small square topper from the topper sheet.
Cut a square from black card measuring 6 cms by 6 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the middle of the card base using foam pads.
Layer six:
Cut a sentiment from the topper sheet.
Cut a piece of black card measuring 2.5 cms by 7.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the top of the right tower.
Layer seven:
From the largest square topper, cut around the dinosaur.
Attach to the card base on the bottom left using foam pads.
Layer eight:
Using the leaf dies, cut a few from the plain paper.
Then from the circle topper sheet, cut out the dinosaur eggs.
Attach all around the dinosaur.
Layer nine:
Cut a piece from black card measuring 15 cms by 18 cms.
Cut the insert to measure 14.5 cms by 17.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the back of the card base.
To finish cut around the eye circle topper and attach to the insert.
