Today’s handmade card has been created for the challenge at I Love Promarkers Challenge #550.

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Animals.

You must use alcohol markers on your work to join in the fun, any brand is excepted.

For my card I have used one of their digital images called Octavia The Ostrich.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

7″ By 7″ White Card Base
Dr. Digi’s House Of Stamps Digital Image – Octavia The Ostrich
Promarkers
White Card
Black Card
Red Card
The Crafty Witches – Love Gnomes Digital Download Collection.
Heart Dies
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print the digital image Octavia The Ostrich twice on to white card.
Then choose and print one patterned paper, one banner sheet and one alphabet sheet.

Layer one:
Cut a square from black card measuring 16 cms by 16 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 15.5 cms by 15.5 cms.
Cut a square from the patterned paper measuring 15 cms by 15 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
From the banner sheet, cut out two different size banners.
Attach to the card base on the left using foam pads.

Layer three:
Colour in the image’s, I used promarker pens.

1st image:
Head / Beak: Blush, oatmeal, satin, amber, gold.

2nd image:
Head + Legs / Beak: Caramel, burnt sienna, umber, satin, gold, amber, cool grey 3, 4.
Body: Black, cool grey 3, 4, 5, burgundy, cardinal red, crimson.

Using the heart dies, cut one heart from red card.
Then using the slightly smaller heart cut out the ostrich head from the first image.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base on the banners.

Then cut around the second image leaving a small white border.
Using foam pads attach to the card base.

Layer four:
Using the alphabet sheet, cut out the letter I, Y, O , U.
Then cut out four squares from white card measuring 2 cms by 2 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

To finish add an insert to the inside of the card base.
