Today’s handmade card has been created using a dvd-rom called Family Portraits – Wild Birds from Creative Crafting World.
This dvd-rom is full of beautiful adult birds and their babies that have been painted by Pollyanna Pickering.
Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.
8″ by 8″ Cream Card
Pollyanna Pickering Family Portraits – Wild Birds Dvd-Rom
The Paper Boutique Lovely Lattice – Sending All My Love Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Lovely Lattice – Posy Embellishment Die Collection
Circle Die
Cream Card
Small Pearl Beads
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads
From the dvd-rom select Blue Tits, go to the first page and print off the fourth image sheet.
Then choose three patterned papers and one plain backing paper.
Layer one:
Cut a square from the first patterned paper measuring 20 cms by 20 cms.
Attach the card base.
Layer two:
Using the doily die, cut the matt die from cream card.
Cut the doily die from the plain paper.
Cut the square die from the second paper.
Matt and layer together and cut in half, from corner to corner.
Attach half to the card base on the right.
Then cut the second half in half again.
Attach these two halves to the card base, on the left corners using foam pads.
Layer three:
Cut a piece from cream card measuring 20 cms by 8 cms.
Cut a piece from the third paper measuring 20 cms by 7.5 cms.
Matt and layer together.
Attach to the card base using foam pads on the right, slightly over lapping layer two.
Layer four:
Cut a circle out from cream card using a circle die.
Cut out the circle topper from the image sheet.
Matt and layer together and attach to card base on layer three.
Layer five:
Cut two pieces of cream card measuring 3.5 cms by 6.5 cms.
Cut out two sentiments from the image sheet.
Matt and layer together using foam pads.
Attach to the card base, one at the top and one at the bottom slightly over lapping the edge of layer three.
Layer six:
Using the posy embellishment die, cut two leaves from plain paper.
Attach to the card base on the left.
Then cut the larger flower die from the third paper and cream card.
Cut the middle flower die from cream card.
Next cut the small flower die from plain paper.
Matt and together and attach to the centre of the leaf die cuts.
Add a pearl bead to the centre the flower.
