Today’s handmade card has been created for I Love Promarker blog challenge 377.

I have used a digi image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps called Turtle Trio Birthday

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Card
Promarkers
Digi Image Turtle Trio Birthday
Debbi Moore Design Back To Basic Paper Essentials Vol 2 Cd-Rom
The Paper Boutique Sentiment Collection 2 – Happy Birthday
Balloon Die
White Card
Red Card
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

First colour the digi image using promarkers.

The promarkers used were :
Bottom Turtle: Grass, cinnamon, burnt orange, tan.
Hat: Bright orange, apricot, berry red, poppy.
Middle Turtle: Grass, soft peach, almond, putty, satin.
Hat: True blue, sky blue, indigo blue.
Top Turtle: Grass, soft peach, terracotta, apricot.
Hat: Violet, fuchsia pink, amethyst.
Balloon: Poppy, berry red, bright orange.
Large Present: Berry red, poppy, lavender, amethyst.
Small Present: Sky blue, arctic blue.
Ice cream: Canary, rose pink, pastel yellow, artic blue, putty.
Spoon: Cool grey 3, cool grey 1.

Using white card and the balloon die cut out two balloon die cuts.
Use one full set and cut one balloon from the other set to use.
Colour the balloons with promarkers.
Balloons: Poppy, Sky blue, lavender, bright orange.

Using red card cut a square measuring 20 cms by 20 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Next cut a square from red card measuring 15.5 cms by 15.5 cms.
Choose a paper from the basic paper essentials cd-rom and cut a square measuring 15 cms by 15 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Using white card cut a piece measuring 20 cms by 7 cms.
Choose another paper from the basic paper essentials cd-rom and cut a piece measuring 20 cms by 6.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base at the bottom using foam pads.

Cut the topper image to measure 13 cms by 10.5 cms
Cut a piece of red card measuring 13.5 cms by 11 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base on the right using foam pads.

Attach the set of three balloons to the card base coming from underneath the topper.

Using the happy birthday from the sentiment collection cut the matt layer out in white card.
Then cut the sentiment out in red card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base on the left using foam pads.

Attach the single balloon coming from underneath the sentiment.

Cut a square from red card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.
This is where you can write your message.
