Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments challenge blog #281.

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes + A Sentiment.

We could use any image from any company for our DT cards, so I have used a digital image from Twistoon called Victoria Reach For The Stars.

You can make any type of project such as a card, tag, scrapbook layout, pocket letter, box etc.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ By 8″ White Card
Twistoon Digi Image Victoria Reach For The Stars
Promarker Pens
The Big One Backgrounds Cd-Rom
The Paper Boutique Celestial  – Reach For The Stars Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Filigree Fancies – Sentiment Volume XX Die Collection
Pink Card
Yellow Card
White Card
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose one backing paper from the cd-rom and print out the digital image Victoria Reach For The Stars onto white card.

Layer one:
Cut a square from pink card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a square from pink card measuring 18 cms by 18 cms.
Cut a square from the backing paper measuring 17.5 cms by 17.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer three:
Colour in the digital image Victoria Reach For The Stars.
I used promarker pens.

Hat: Hot pink, carmine, cerise
Coat: Magenta, mulberry, antique pink, black
Boots / Bows: Salmon pink, cocktail pink, cool grey 4
Hair: Chestnut, tan
Skin: Champagne, almond, ivory
Mouth: Ivory, lip stick red, baby pink

Cut out the digital image Victoria Reach For The Stars using the centre die from the Celestial collection.
Then cut out the matt doily die from pink card.
Cut the decorative die from white.
Next cut the decorative die from yellow card, keeping the stars that fall out.
Matt and layer the pink matt and white decorative die cut together.
Add the digital image to the centre using foam pads.
Attach all the the card base.
Using foam pads paper piece some of the yellow stars back into the decorative die cut.

Layer four:
Using the sentiment from the Celestial die collection, cut the matt die from pink card.
Cut the sentiment from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer five:
Using a small sentiment die from volume XX, cut the matt die from pink card.
Cut the sentiment from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.
