Today’s handmade card has been created for the challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge #83.

For my Design Team card I have used one of SheepSki Designs digital images called Whisper.

The theme for the challenge is Anything Goes. I decided to make a Steam Punk themed card.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ By 8″ White Card
SheepSki Designs Digital Stamp Called Whisper
Touch Migo Twin Alcohol Marker Pens
The Paper Boutique Steampunk Romance – Coloured Card Collection
The Paper Boutique Steampunk Romance – Paper Kit 
White Card
Cog Dies
Brown Ink Pad
Glue / Double Sided Tape

Instructions:

Choose three plain coloured cards and one plain paper.

Layer one:
Cut a square from the first coloured card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Then cut a square from the plain paper measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Using the brown ink pad, edge all the sides of the card and paper.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Using the second coloured card, cut a few cogs different size cogs out.
Attach to the card base on the right side.

Layer three:
Colour in the digital image Whisper.

Skin/Face: Raw silk, skin white, baby skin pink, cosmos, rose red, cherry pink,vivid green, grey green 7, 9, pale baby blue, Indian blue.
Hair: Mahogany, burnt sienna,chestnut brown.
Hat: Carmine, deep red, old red, walnut, raw umber.
Goggles: Cool grey 2, 4, 7, 9.
Flower: Dark yellow, sand, orange, marigold.
Butterfly: Pale lavender, dark blue, light lavender, cool grey 3.

Cut a piece from the third coloured card measuring 14.5 cms by 12.5 cms.
Cut the image to measure 14 cms by 12 cms.
Using the brown ink pad, edge all the sides.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer four:
Using the coloured cards, cut out a selection of cog and attach to the card base.
Then add a couple of sentiments.

To finish add an insert to the inside of the card base
