Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog #297.

The theme for this challenge is Christmas + A Sentiment

You can make any type of project such as a card, tag, scrapbook layout, pocket letter, box etc.
The theme must be follow and a sentiment included.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ x 8″ White Card Base
Colour Of Love digital image Christmas Love
Promarker Pens
The Paper Boutique Once Upon A Christmas – Paper Kit 
The Paper Boutique Once Upon A Christmas – Embellishment Pad
The Paper Boutique Once Upon A Christmas – Insert Collection
The Paper Boutique Once Upon A Christmas – Snowfall Embellishments
White Card
Black Card
Silver Gems
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose two backing papers and two sentiments.

Layer one:
Cut a square from black card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from the first paper measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from black card measuring 8 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the second paper measuring 7.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer three:
Colour in the digital image Christmas Love, I used promarkers.

Snowman: Pastel blue, powder blue, ice grey 1, 2, 4, sunflower, yellow, true blue, sky blue, burgundy, lipstick red, black, amber, mandarin.
Snowlady: Pastel blue, powder blue, ruby red, carmine, sunflower, orange, yellow, cerise, cocktail pink, black, amber, mandarin.
Snow: Pastel blue, powder blue.
Swing: Chestnut, terracotta, saddle brown.
Greenery: Holly, lush green, firebrick, poppy.
Bows: Poppy, firebrick.

Cut a piece from black card measuring 15 cms by 12 cms.
Cut the digital image to measure 14.5 cms by 11.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base on the left.

Layer four:
Cut two matt layers out for the sentiments using black card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer five:
Using the snowflake dies, cut one large and one small from white card.
Attach to the card base adding silver gems to the centre.
To finish add an insert to the inside of the card base.
