Unicorn Love – Happy Birthday

0 8 Comments

Today’s handmade card has been created for the challenge at I Love Promarkers Challenge #539.

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option Summery Colours.

You must use alcohol markers on your work to join in the fun, any brand is excepted.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Ching-Chou Kuik and you can win two images from their shop.

For my card I have used one of their digital images called Unicorn Love.

Handmade card using a digital image from Ching-Chou Kuik called Unicorn Love

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

2 x 7″ By 7″ White Card Base
Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp Called Unicorn Love
Promarkers
White Card
The Crafty Witches Sugar Calaveras Digital Download Collection
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print the digital image Unicorn Love on to white card.
Choose and print one plain paper, two patterned papers and one sentiment sheet.

Score and fold both 7″ by 7″ card fronts to make a z fold card.
Cut a strip from one of the cards measuring 4 cms in length.

Layer one:
Cut a square from plain paper measuring 16.5 cms by 16.5 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 16 cms by 16 cms.
Cut a square from the first patterned paper measuring 15.5 cms by 15.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from plain paper measuring 16.5 cms by 8 cms.
Cut a piece from white card measuring 16 cms by 7.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the second patterned paper measuring 15.5 cms by 7 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front fold of the card base.

Layer three:
Cut a piece from plain paper measuring 3.5 cms by 16.5 cms.
Next cut two pieces from plain paper measuring 3.5 cms by 8 cms.
Attach all to the 4 cms strip of card.
Then attach the card strip to the card base across the bottom, the smallest piece attaches to the inside and the longest piece to the front of the card base.

Layer four:
Colour in the Unicorn Love digital image, I used promarker pens.

Unicorn: Ice grey 1, 2, 3, purple, plum, aubergine, yellow, amber.
Skin / Face: Ivory, satin, almond, cyan, cadet blue, blossom.

Good to see a different card base. It helps the floral paper in the background to frame the main image.
