Today’s handmade card has been created for inspiration on the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Monthly Challenge Blog.

For my card I have used one of their digital images called Embrace The Ocean.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

7″ By 10″ White Card Base
Ching-Chou Kuik‘s Digital Stamp Called Embrace The Ocean
Promarker Pens
White Card
Honey Doo Craft Circle Stencil
Versafine Inks – Bamboo, Lapislazuli, Cyan, Polar Blue.
Black Ink
Sheena Douglass – The Sea view Stamp Set
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print the digital image on to white card.

Layer one:
Using the circle stencil and lapislazuli, cyan and polar blue ink pads, add some circles straight onto the card base.
Then using the seaweed stamp and bamboo ink pad, add a design to the left hand side of the card base.

Layer two:
Colour in the digital image Embrace The Ocean, I used promarker pens.
Face / Skin : Almond, oatmeal, dusky pink, Ivory, pastel pink, verdigris, cool grey 4, 5, neon – luminous yellow, neon – glowing green.
Hair : Pale blossom, blossom, baby pink, neon – volt blue, neon, electric pink.
Sea Weed : Olive green, pesto.
Shells : Mandarin, mango, raw sienna, saddle brown.

Cut around the image, leaving a small white border.
Then attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer three:
Using two sentiment stamps and black ink, stamp one of the right hand side of the card base.
Then stamp the other on the left hand side.

To finish add an insert to the inside of the card base.
