With another beautiful image by Pollyanna Pickering.

Materials used:

8″ by 8″ white scallop card
The Story So Far…Christmas Companions dvd-rom
White card
Red card
Cream card
2 different sized flower die
Flourish ( I used one of Debbi Moore Floral Flourishes)
Medium pearl
Foam pads
Glue
Double sided tape

Instructions:

After you have chosen your topper and papers cut out all the matts and layers.

Red card :
1 x 19 cms by 19 cms
1 x 11 cms by 15 cms
1 x 19 cms by 8 cms

White card:
1 x 11.5 cms by 15.5 cms
1 x 19 cms by 7.5 cms

Patterned paper:
1 x 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms

To start putting the card together matt and layer the patterned paper (18.5 cms by 18.5 cms) on to the red card (19 cms by 19 cms) using double sided tape.

Next matt and layer the white card (19 cms by 7.5 cms) on to the red card (19 cms by 8 cms) Using a matching paper add a thin piece to the white card, just to take a little of the whiteness away.

Using double sided tape attach this to the bottom of your first matt and layer, please see picture.

Attach this to your white scallop card using double sided tape. Now you have the start of your card design.

Next matt and layer the red card (11 cms by 15 cms) on to the white card (11.5 cms by 15.5 cms) adding your chosen topper to the top layer.

Using double sided tape attach this to your card at a slight angle.

With the flower dies cut one of each size in red and cream card and layer these up, please see picture.

Add the flower to your card along with a couple of little flourishes.

To finish your card off add a pearl to the centre of the flower and a Christmas sentiment.

Christmas Pop Up Boxes 2017

Christmas Pop Up Boxes 2017

I would like to share my Christmas pop up boxes that I have made this year.

To make the pop up box you need to cut a piece of card measuring approx 25.5 cms by 15 cms.

Score the longest length at 7 cms, this means that the bottom of your box will measure 8 cms and the top 7 cms.

Turn the card and score at 6 cms, 12 cms, 18 cms and 24 cms. Cut these score lines and then fold three of the flaps down leaving one, this will make the back of the pop up card.

You are then left with a piece measuring 1.5 cms, cut half of this away leaving the other half to glue and make the box.

For the inside of the card you need two pieces of card measuring 9 cms by 5 cms. Score each end at 1.5 cms and glue both pieces to the inside of the box. These are used for your decorations. You can add card or acetate to your decorations if you need a little more height.

To decorate I have measured the following:
Bottom matt and layers : 7.5 cms by 5.5 cms and 6.5 cms by 4.5 cms
Top matt and layers : 6.5 cms by 5.5 cms and 5.5 cms by 4.5 cms
Long length (inside and out) matt and layers : 14.5 cms by 5.5 cms and 13.5 cms by 4.5 cms

The Magic Of Christmas

The Magic Of Christmas

Here are three Christmas cards that  have been made using The Magic of Christmas cd rom by Debbi Moore Designs.

Snow and Ice Volume II – Arctic Fox

Snow and Ice Volume II – Arctic Fox

This card has been made using Snow and Ice Volume II dvd-rom from Creative Crafting World with beautiful images by Pollyanna Pickering.

Materials used:

8″ by 8″ white scallop card
Snow & Ice Volume II dvd-rom
White card
Silver mirri card
2 different sized flower die
Flourish ( I used one of Debbi Moore Floral Flourishes)
Snowflake die ( I used x-cut Palm Punch)
Large and Small pearls
White ribbon
Foam pads
Glue
Double sided tape

Instructions:

The first matt and layer is made up from silver mirri card (measuring approx 19cms by 19cms) and a background paper (measuring approx 18.5cms by 18.5cms) from the dvd. Once layered you then add the ribbon to the layers. I have used double sided tape to attach the ribbon (see image for placement), this is then attached with glue to the white scallop card.

Next measure and cut the silver mirri card (approx 13.5cms by 13.5cms) and the white card (approx 12.5cms by 12.5cms) matt and layer these together using the foam pads. Then added your topper to this again using foam pads. This gives your card dimension

Use glue to attach the topper and sentiment to your card as per picture.

Next cut out one of each of the flower dies from the silver mirri card. Then cut out 1 of the smaller flower die and 2 flourishes from the background paper.

Matt and layer the flowers using glue attach these to your card along with the flourishes (see picture).

Using the snowflake punch cut out 6 of these from white card adding these with glue to your topper.

Then for the final touch add the large pearl to the flower and the smaller ones to the snowflakes.

For the inside of the card you do get inserts on the dvd-rom or you could repeat the first matt and layer and instead of adding the topper or ribbon you can add a square piece of white card (approx 12cms by 12cms) and this will give enough room for a message.

The Story So Far…Christmas Moments

The Story So Far…Christmas Moments

This card has been made using The Story So Far…Christmas Moments dvd-rom.

The beautiful image is by Pollyanna Pickering.

Materials used:

8″ by 8″ white scallop card
Brown card
White card
Gold mirri card
Green card
Vellum (Space dust)
Background paper (printed from the dvd)
Topper image (printed from the dvd)
2 different sized Flower die
Ivy die
Gold gems
Ribbon
Foam pads
Glue

Instructions:

The first matt and layer is made up from brown card (measuring approx 19cms by 19cms) and a background paper (measuring approx 18.5cms by 18.5cms) from the dvd. Once layered, this is then glued to the white scallop card.

Next measure and cut the brown card (approx 19cms by 11cms) and the vellum (approx 19cms by 10cms) matt and layer these together along with the ribbon. Using the glue attach this to your card leaving a border on the top and bottom (see picture)

Now for the topper, you will need white card (measuring approx 15cms by 11cms), brown card (measuring approx 14.5cms by 10.5cms). Matt and layer these up using the foam pads and then using foam pads attach the topper image. This gives your card dimension.

Use glue to attach the topper and sentiment to your card as per picture.

Using the card and small flower die cut out 2 white and one gold and with the larger flower die cut out 1 gold. Then cut out 2 ivy leaves.

Matt and layer the flowers (see picture) using glue attach these to your card along with the ivy leaves.

Then the final touch is using glue and adding the gold gems.

Enchanted Christmas Collection

Enchanted Christmas Collection

Here are the samples that I made for Creative Crafting World using the Enchanted Christmas Collection.

In the collection you can purchase papers, toppers, insert papers and stamps. All make beautiful Christmas cards.

The cards below are made with the inserts papers, these are perfect to use on the front of cards as well as the middle.

This beautiful poinsettia paper looks even more perfect if you decoupage the flowers.

Christmas Elegance

Christmas Elegance

The image and background paper used in this card is a free download from the Debbi Moore Designs website.

It is wonderful that this designer shares some of her beautiful papers and toppers.

I was able to make two 6″ by 6″ cards with theses papers.

My first card I matted and layered the background paper onto gold mirror board and glued this on my white base card.

I then placed the topper on this with foam pads and added a Christmas sentiment with a couple of pearls. (the pearls are embellishments from the Dreamees)

Because the background paper is so pretty I used it for the main focus of my card by matting and layering it onto gold card and then I just added a Christmas sentiment.

I really feel that this card didn’t need anything else.

RUDOLPH AND FRIENDS

RUDOLPH AND FRIENDS

This Christmas card has been made using Rudolph and Friends cd-rom by Debbi Moore Designs.

I printed my topper and background paper on to photo paper. This has given my card a lovely shine.

I matted and layered my background paper onto a light purple card and stuck this on my white base card, placing my topper in the center.

Then I added purple ribbon to one side of my card and a Merry Christmas Strip underneath my topper.

The sentiment and small mouse topper finish my card design.

A Winters Tale

A Winters Tale

These Christmas cards have all been made using A Winters Tale paper kit by Pollyanna Pickering.

I made easel cards for these images as I thought this shape card would show off the beautiful images perfectly.

I scored and folded  6″ by 6″ cards to make my easel shape.

I then matched up the images with the papers that came in the kit and matted and layered them on matching coloured card.

I added matching coloured ribbons to some of my card designs, along with gems and pearls.
